I realize that most who peruse these forums have not yet lived a quarter century. But still, this is good stuff and ought to be read and internalized by anyone who intends to live in the real world someday.

Having reached the quarter-century mark some time ago, and having never been explicitly told these things, I'm surprised at how much of this I've gotten on my own. I do, however, still need to work on at least a few of these things. (Alas, tardiness seems to be my Achilles's heel.)
