Yes, it's time once more for the ending credits of Please Save My Earth, and once more, the audience trembles in fear. Once again, we will be subjected to that most hideous of images: the cat. What is this apparition that appears only during the final moments of the anime, and why is he twice the height and quadruple the mass of any of our heroes..... er..... crybabies..... reincarnated..... oh the hay with it: freaks.

Many theories abound about this cat. Is he the villain? Is he Mokulen's long-lost child? Another victim of the anime relocation program? Perhaps he is a hunter-warrior sent to destroy our hapless heroes, as his race destroyed their homeworld? And what is his ESPer power; litter control? To be honest, we have no clue. But doesn't he irritate you, sitting there, sneering at you, week after week, knowing your every move, your name, your history, but you have no idea who he is? Did you ever notice his eyes follow you? And why is he smiling as if he knows something you don't?

And now, he has appeared in the scenes for next week's episode! Yes, we caught a brief glimpse of that shades-wearing, vicious little bastard sneering in contempt. Perhaps it was all just a ratings ploy to keep you watching this senseless character development. But with luck, he'll kill Alice or give the girl some spine, for God's sake. What a whiner. I mean c'mon, you're reincarnated, you're an ESPer and you can't do any better than a six year old boy! I mean, what the h-ll! ["Rio, can we say that?" "Uh, I don't know Anthony..."]

Or perhaps the cat is the key to understanding Please Save My Earth. Or is he the goddess of the moon (hey, it's the nineties)? Is the cat Earth's greatest ESPer [hey, it's like the dog from JoJo's], or is he the alter-ego of M-kun? And if he can reincarnate, which of his nine lives is he on? And how long can we ramble on about this cat......
