A course in genetics? Deoxyribonucleic acid squared? A freak combination of genetics and mathematics? NO!!!! DNA˛ is really Dokakade Nakushita Aitsuno Aitsu (what a mouthful!). By Masakazu Katsura, it is a mix of romance and comedy centered around a wimpy high school boy named Junta Momonari, who doesn't have much luck with girls.

In the distant future, the earth is overpopulated thanks to a mega-playboy who had 100 children with 100 women. Like father like son, all of his male descendants too became mega-playboys, and soon, the earth's population exploded. To prevent this overly prolific future, Karen Aoi, a DNA operator, is sent to the past to correct the problem at its source: Junta. Armed with a DCM bullet, she seeks him out, hoping to alter his DNA before it's too late. After accomplishing her mission, she finds to her dismay that she had brought the wrong bullet! (Oops!) She had inadvertently turned Junta into the Mega-playboy...

The Characters:

Karin Aoi: DNA operator from the future. Operates out of a time machine that doubles as her base. Dreams of a "sweet home" of her own. Has blue hair and a cowlick. [seiyuu: Miina Tominaga -- Kozue in MI, Noa in Patlabor]

Junta Momonari: Shy high school boy with a girl "allergy" -- he barfs whenever he sees a girl in any state of undress. Is transformed into the Mega-playboy by Karin. Has spiky dark brown hair that resembles a cross between a porcupine and an aloe plant. [seiyuu: Keiichi Nanba -- Komatsu in KOR, Kazuya in Touch]

Ami Kurimoto: Life-long friend of Junta. The only female Junta is not allergic to. Not affected by the charms of the Mega-playboy. Has short brown hair. [seiyuu: Hiroko Kasahara -- Armitage in Armitage III, Ishtar in Macross II, Fuu in Rayearth]

Tomoko Saeki: Ryuji's on-again/off-again girlfriend. Falls hard for the Mega-playboy. Is cruel to Junta in the first episode. Has long dark brown hair. Ryuji Sugashita: Tomoko's boyfriend (when she's around). Popular with girls. Very rich. Gets powers of his own. Has short hair that unfortunately isn't purple. A jerk˛. [seiyuu: Takehito Koyasu -- Hotohori in Fushigi Yuugi, Zechs in Gundam Wing, Rezo in Slayers]

Yuu Matsuura: Wields a tennis racket. Attracts girls (...and boys) like flies. Good cook. Named after a condiment. Has short blond hair. May need a DCM bullet of his own... oops. Wrong series... [that's right...]
