I am a social scientist specializing in otaku studies. I received my PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2006. My doctoral research examined the ways in which anime otaku and related subcultures engage and appropriate science and technology. RSS Awareness Day
Given how infrequently I update this blog, I hope there's no one out there who actually types in http://www.cjas.org/~leng/lainspotting on a regular basis to see if there's anything new here. Instead, you should consider using RSS (for this blog and any other sites you want to keep track of).
What's RSS, you say? I'm glad you asked, because today (May 1st) is RSS Awareness Day.
Most browsers these days support RSS, and there are Web-based solutions as well. Personally, I love Opera's built-in RSS reader. I couldn't live without it.
