Although there is a wealth of great anime music in the series, movies, and OAVs in this semester's schedule, I felt that in the interests of fans like you and I, a survey of the newsletter people would be the best way to get recommendations for great anime music to be on the lookout for. Let's face it, none of us (at least no one I know) can afford to buy anime CDs randomly, and track listings for anime music CDs are hard to come by. Although I have been fortunate, I do have a CD or two that was from the correct series but wasn't the correct CD. So I ended up with a CD that was strictly "OK." I eventually got the correct CD, and I'm quite satisfied with that purchase. I've found that the easiest way to find new and cool anime music is to go to people who have heard a sizable amount of it. Since everyone here on the newsletter crew has seen and heard different amounts and types of anime music, a survey would be the simplest way to get a large sampling of quality anime music. I decided on two categories: "Fast Anime Songs" and "Slow Anime Songs." I also figured that a ceiling of two songs per category would be best. One would be damn hard for most of us ("Gosh, I have to pick one?"), and more than two is hard ("Argh, can't I pick my top five?"). So, without further ado, here is an informal survey I conducted of the hard-working people (some of us anyways; tee hee) here at newsletter central.
