CJAS will be showing Laputa: Castle in the Sky this Saturday at 10 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Laputa is widely considered to be one of acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki’s best films. Join us as we celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, and discover (or rediscover) the magic of Miyazaki.

First Meeting Fall 2006
The first CJAS meeting this semester will be on Saturday, August 26 at 8 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Before the meeting, at 7:30, we will have tables set up outside the room showing the various activites that take place within CJAS. Orientation Week Meetings
CJAS will hold three special meetings during Orientation Week. The first two meetings will take place on Monday 8/21 and Tuesday 8/22 from 5:30 to 9:30 on the bottom floor of Appel Commons. The third meeting will take place on Wednesday 8/23 from 5:30 to 9:30 in the lounge on the first floor of RPCC. Stop by for your fill of anime, manga, and video games, and meet lots of other awesome anime fans!

CJAS will be showing Howl’s Moving Castle this Saturday at 10 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Based on the book Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, it is acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film.

CornellCon 2006
CornellCon 2006 is this Friday, April 21. Join us as we take over RPCC from 8pm to 2am, along with the DDR Club, Smash Bros. Club, Games Club, and Digital Gaming Alliance. We’ll be showing Metropolis at 10, Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star) at 11:45, and Jin-Roh at 12:15. The other organizations involved will be hosting many other events and tournaments, and there will be free food, too. So join us at RPCC, or risk having a less fun Friday night than the rest of us!
This Saturday, February 4, CJAS will be showing Hayao Miyazaki’s Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro at 10:25 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. This is the only Lupin movie directed by Miyazaki, and is widely regarded as one of the best. Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most renowned anime directors of all time.
