“Porco Rosso” Playing February 3
CJAS will be showing Porco Rosso this Saturday at 10:25pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Porco Rosso is one of esteemed director Hayao Miyazaki’s lesser known and unique films, as it strays far from the typical Miyazaki storyline and setting. Still, or perhaps for that reason, it is a very enjoyable and light-hearted tale from start to finish.

Laputa is widely considered to be one of acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki’s best films. Join us as we celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, and discover (or rediscover) the magic of Miyazaki.
CJAS will be showing Howl’s Moving Castle this Saturday at 10 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Based on the book Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, it is acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film.
This Saturday, February 4, CJAS will be showing Hayao Miyazaki’s Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro at 10:25 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. This is the only Lupin movie directed by Miyazaki, and is widely regarded as one of the best. Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most renowned anime directors of all time.
This Saturday, September 3, CJAS will be showing the Miyazaki classic Princess Mononoke at 10:00 pm. Oscar-winning Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most well-known and renowned anime directors of all time, and Princess Mononoke is widely regarded as one of his best works.
CJAS will be showing the 1989 Miyazaki classic, Kiki’s Delivery Service, this coming Saturday, February 5. Hayao Miyazaki is the Oscar-winning director of many anime films of the past several decades. Most of his films are aimed for children, but are still enjoyed by anime enthusiasts of all ages, world-wide. Miyazaki is widely regarded as one of the greatest anime directors of all time.
