“Porco Rosso” Playing February 3
CJAS will be showing Porco Rosso this Saturday at 10:25pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Porco Rosso is one of esteemed director Hayao Miyazaki’s lesser known and unique films, as it strays far from the typical Miyazaki storyline and setting. Still, or perhaps for that reason, it is a very enjoyable and light-hearted tale from start to finish.
CJAS will be showing Laputa: Castle in the Sky this Saturday at 10 pm in Goldwin Smith Hall’s Lewis Auditorium. Laputa is widely considered to be one of acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki’s best films. Join us as we celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, and discover (or rediscover) the magic of Miyazaki.

This is the only Lupin movie directed by Miyazaki, and is widely regarded as one of the best. Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most renowned anime directors of all time.

CJAS will be showing the 1989 Miyazaki classic, Kiki’s Delivery Service, this coming Saturday, February 5. Hayao Miyazaki is the Oscar-winning director of many anime films of the past several decades. Most of his films are aimed for children, but are still enjoyed by anime enthusiasts of all ages, world-wide. Miyazaki is widely regarded as one of the greatest anime directors of all time.
